Week 2: MKTG 349 Creating an Ad Campaign
Creating an ad campaign may seem a little scary at first but google provides a great help feature. While we go through the steps of learning how to create an ad campaign, clicking on the question marks will help you understand what you are really doing.
To start a campaign, you have to click on the campaign button and create it as a search network only. Since they provide a wizard, everything is selected for you .If you want to change any of the settings you can make, just make sure there is not a check in the box. One thing you want to do is click all features under the type box. This is great because if you're in a time crunch, or are used to it. you don't have to do the same steps repeatedly.
Two very important steps to follow is the bid/budget and scheduling features. Since we are starting off you want to set it as low as possible, which is five dollars a day. After going through the steps you will come to a point where it starts talking about scheduling. This is where you want to make sure you create an end date. You can have your end date be whatever you would like it to be, but remember you have a five dollar a day budget. After you complete this you are directed to create an ad. This is where the question marks come in handy because you may forget what goes in what line. After creating your ad you are all set! Just remember at any point you can always pause your campaign or start it back up again.
