Week 5- MKTG 349- Keywords
Keywords play a big factor in how your ad is going to be viewed. Your main goal is to have keywords that will effectively reach your target market. This being said you want to try to have a high rank on Google search. In doing so, you are able to reach the target market. This will get easier over time and practice. You also want to keep in mind that there is a thing called search volume, which is how many people are actually searching for it. Creating a keyword with more search volume will benefit your ad but sometimes that means it may cost more.
Stuck trying to figure out what keywords to use? AdWords provides this amazing tool called Keyword Planner which allows you to do numerous things. Two that are covered in this reading are, finding new keywords and search volume. Finding new keywords is easy. Click on "Search for new Keywords using a phrase, website or category". You fill out the related sections and click "Get Ideas" which generates a group of keywords as well as their click price. Having a set amount of money for advertising can relate how much you want to spend on keywords. The one thing you want to get out of it is hoping you are making more in profits.
Finally, onto search volume, this generates how much a big could cost for that keyword as well as how many people they believe will search it. This allows you to get an estimate of traffic to your website in hoping you can make more profits. Using this information helps because you can figure out which keywords would work more than others.
