MKTG 345-Week 3- WCIYP Ch. 1: It's a Whole New World for Job-Hunter

As a college student our main goal after gradating is finding a job in the field we just spent four or more years studying. Many of us will have connections while many others are going to be on a job hunt. Luckily, I am reading What Color is Your Parachute? 2018 by Richard N. Bolles for my Google Analytics course that will help me prepare for the job hunt.

Chapter 1 gives a basic foundation of what to expect while looking for a job. I have some background in business courses I took in high school where some of these things have changed drastically. In saying that, I was in high school four years ago as a senior. My resume I had to prepare for my high school class is not even close to what I looks like today.

One major topic that book talks about is job-hunting has moved more and more online since 2008. I can see that change in the past four years because when I was looking for a job as a high school I was looking at job postings online but turning in hard copies of resumes. Today you can apply online which sometimes the employers prefer more since its easier to go through. Making sure you give a good impression online applications is more important than ever before.
