Bots are automated computer programs that hit your website or blog. This is not an actual person who clicks on your page which can influence your data. Smart bots can lead to creating spikes in your data which can throw off your results.

There are some ways to fix them and one of them is to filter them. This step is called filtering spam bots with custom filters.

Step 1: Acquisition > All traffic > Referrals
Step 2: Sort Referral Traffic by Bounce Rate
Step 3: Create a list of domains that you. Admin > Filters> add filter information
