Creating a Twitter account is very easy but the way Twitter works can be a bit different from other social media. On Twitter you are limited to a 280 character limit this means you have to express your thought through 280 characters. One new thing Twitter created was to create a "thread" where you can add tweets under each other to forum a bigger thought. Personally, I have seen many Twitter accounts for companies be either a Main Page account but also have a support account too. The reason people tend to use Twitter more than other social media is because of urgency. Typically things on Twitter are the most up-to-date information or breaking information. An example of how a company uses Twitter is Netflix. They response to people very quickly but also if the their live streaming is down they notify people who follow them by tweeting out this information. This is another way to keep up to date with consumers in a fast way.

Learning about Facebook Advertisements helps push your business onto potential customers in your target market. The best way to learn how it works is attempting your own ad on Facebook. I ran a advertisement for 1 day.  It does cost real money but the nice thing Facebook is doing is they are giving out a free credit of $30. I thought this was really cool that Facebook allows users to test out ads without spending real money yet.   Here is my insights from that run.  I focused my ad to generate people to visit my blog for my photography facebook page but also directed them to my page. Learning how to create facebook ads is something you have to test out because it has different results for everyone. It also helps by trying different types of ads to see how many people click on your page. 

Creating a Facebook Page is very easy and it's a great way to interact with customers. I created a Facebook Page for my photography business. It was very simple step-by-step process which can be done with the wizard. The way I created mine was by using my Instagram. I creating a business Instagram awhile back in which I had to create a Facebook Page associated with it. By setting these two platforms up and connecting them it's easier to create ads that will reach both Facebook and Instagram. After creating my FB page I sent everyone I follow an invitation to follow so I can gain traffic. This FB will consist of my business but also a weekly blog post about my photography journey to keep everyone up to date with what I'm shooting.

Social Media is a great tool to gain traffic from your target markets on different platforms. Depending on the business, you may have your own website where your customers buy your products. Creating content around your website is how to gain more individuals to visit your website from other platforms. I have found companies on Instagram which lead me to purchase from their website. If they never posted on their Instagram I wouldn't have made a purchase due to not knowing their company. For this class I created a Facebook page for my photography business. I also have created a website using Wix. I have experience in using this platform in past classes by creating mock websites for a start-up business as well as a client.
