Hootsuite is basically a command center for all your social media platforms. A great tool where you can connect your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This dashboard helps you control your engagement with your fans on all of those social media platforms. The basic idea of this is to have all your social media on one screen where you can schedule posts that not only goes to your Facebook but can also be posted onto your Twitter and Instagram. It's another way to stay connected but it can also resolve problems.  Companies may have their company twitter but also a support twitter account on one page. This way they can see the interaction with their main account and if they see people tweeting out problems to the main account the support account and intervene by showing them possible fixes. This can shown on the support account instead of drawing attention from the main account. It's a better way to handle situation.
