Week 6- MKTG 349- Call Out Extension

Grabbing someone's attention when creating ads will benefit the amount of clicks you receive. There is an ad extension provided on AdWords called Callouts. This is additional text underneath the description of your ad. Typically they provide information such as, Free Shipping or deals that are going on. For this class we had to create a callout extension for our campaign. Currently, I have my campaign for this blog. I decided to go with these three callouts; blogger, branding, and helpful information! Since I am currently not selling anything beside providing information of what I am learning in our class, I felt that these three were a good way to get people to view my blog.

Week 5- MKTG 349- Keywords

Keywords play a big factor in how your ad is going to be viewed. Your main goal is to have keywords that will effectively reach your target market. This being said you want to try to have a high rank on Google search. In doing so, you are able to reach the target market. This will get easier over time and practice. You also want to keep in mind that there is a thing called search volume, which is how many people are actually searching for it. Creating a keyword with more search volume will benefit your ad but sometimes that means it may cost more. Stuck trying to figure out what keywords to use? AdWords provides this amazing tool called Keyword Planner which allows you to do numerous things. Two that are covered in this reading are, finding new keywords and search volume. Week 4- MKTG 349- Keeping Track of your campaign

When running your campaigns, ad words provides some great analyzing tools. The tools allow you to see statistics of how your campaign is doing over the time period of a day, week or even month. By using these tools you can see what keywords are working for you and which ones aren't doing that great. One key step you want to make sure when running a campaign is understanding your time frame. By practicing running campaigns you'll get a better grasp on how long or short you want to run them. Understanding your time frame helps but also understanding the click through rate will  help you generate the good keywords and the bad. Looking through keywords you can pick out which ones aren't generating you many clicks. This can help you get rid of the ones that are not really doing much for you.
